|Section 1: What is it?                                                                    \

|This is an enhancement of RPGe's translation of Final Fantasy V for the SNES. When RPGe   | |translated it they altered item names to be more like Final Fantasy III US, I figure it   |
|was to help people more familiar with Final Fantasy III US easier, but it doesn't make for|
|an acurate translation. This fixes item, equipment, magic, monster, job, and ability names|
|plus it also removes the over use of il, ll, li, it, tt, ti, ect. characters (They are    | |still used where needed). Note no dialouge was changed, except for a few miss-matched     |
|names dialouge was fine (I may release a patch that fixes the few places where the wrong  | |person's name is used).                                                                   |

|Section 2: Why?                                                                           \

|When I first got into emulation I played this translation, Final Fantasy V had already    |
|been released here in the states in Final Fantasy Anthology, and I thought the names of   | |stuff sucked (Not the actual translation though) Later I got an enhacement patch, but it  | |sucked too. I have fixed that, along with the font and item icons RPGe changed for no good|
|reason.                                                                                   |

|Section 3: IPS Patching                                                                   \
|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
|First you need a FF5 Rom (E-mail if you want to know where to get one, I know it's hard to| |find 'em.) and a good SNES emulator (http://www.zsnes.com). Once you have that try to run |
|FF5 in ZSNES and see if the checksum is good or OK (If it's not get a new Rom) if it's    | |good go to Zophar's Domain (http://www.zophar.net) and download a program called SNES-Tool|
|(I suggest you keep a copy of this in the directory of every Rom you own). Make a copy of |
|your Rom and load SNES-Tool, select use IPS, then select ff5enhance.ips and patch it onto |
|the copy of you FF5 Rom. (Note: This patch should work on both non-translated and         | |translated FF5 Roms but hasen't been tested on translated)                                |
